Privacy & cookie policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

This policy explains what happens to the details you send us and which cookies this website uses. We've kept it short and in plain English.

Who we are

Handyman Corby is a local handyman service based in Corby, Northamptonshire. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at handymancorby@outlook.com.

What we collect and why

When you fill in the quote form we receive your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), postcode or town, and your description of the job. We use this only to reply to your enquiry, give you a price and arrange the work.

Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract (a quote for work), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Who handles your data for us

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into a job are deleted within 12 months. If we do work for you, we keep the job and invoice records for up to 6 years, as required for tax purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email handymancorby@outlook.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site works without any cookies. We only set analytics cookies if you press "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time using the button below or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the home page.
